Angelina Jolie Voight was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her father, "Jon Voight was an oscar-winning actor, famous for his role in "Midnight Cowboy" and "Coming Home". On the other hand, we see Angelina´s mother, "Marcheline Bertrand", who´s part Iroquois, part French, actress and model. At the age of 2, Angelina´s parents split up and her mom moved back to the East Coast with angelina and her brother "James". Despite the divorce, Angelina recalls her childhood as a happy one. As a child, she was a huge fan of StarTrek and had a unique taste in choosing her pets as she collected snakes, and lizards. Her favorite snake was called Harry Dean Stanton, and her favorite lizard was called Vladimir. Growing up, Angelina was tight on money but her mom alwaya made sure to take her kids to the movies as often as possible and since then Angelina started to grow her passion for acting.

At age 11, She moved back with her family to Los Angeles and decided to pursue her dream in acting. She enrolled into the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. She didn´t enjoy her stay in Beverly hills high school becasue she was bullied alot for wearing glasses, having braces on and for being too skinny. Later in the day, she decided to work as a model but was rejected for being too skinng and too short. The number of rejections lowered her self-esteem and as result she dropped out of highschool at the age of 14.
